說明：Tryptone is a pancreatic digest of casein. It is notable for the absence of detectable levels of carbohydrates. Tryptone has been used in conjunction with casamino acids（酸水解酪蛋白） in nutritional studies to determine amino acids vs. peptide utilization. It has a high tryptophan content and is therefore used in media for testing the indole reaction. It is a constituent of media used in fermentation processes to produce antibiotics, extra-cellular protein, interferon and diphtheria toxoid.
